Delta Policeman Runs for Safety after Shooting Student, and one other over N1000

One Sergeant Abua, joined to the Igbuzo Police Division, is professedly on the run over shooting a student at the Delta State Polytechnic, Sofia Ogogo, and a government worker, Victor Emeagwai, at a checkpoint. .

we learnt, the casualties were in a Toyota Corolla, driven by a domain operator, Jerry Akinlabi, on Sunday, November 17, 2017, when the incident happened. Ogogo and Emeagwai are Akinlabi's better half and companion individually. .

A group of five policemen, including Abua, had waved to Ogogo at a checkpoint along Igbuzo Market. One of the policemen, recognized as Nwokolo, was said to have requested cash from Akinlabi and the driver disclosed to him that he didn't have N200 to give him. .

Nwokolo allegedly said he would take one of the N1,000 notes Jerry had on him. As Akinlabi drove off from the checkpoint, Abua allegedly shot at the auto and projectiles punctured the back of the vehicle, hitting Ogogo, who sat at the back seat .

The shot likewise brushed the back of Emeagwai, who was at the traveler's seat. Akinlabi uncovered that four cops, including the group pioneer, one ASP Akhabue, were kept by the police, while Abua avoided capture. .

Akinlabi said he took the casualties to a general healing facility in Igbuzo, from where Ogogo was alluded to the Federal Medical Center, Asaba. He said he called a senior cop at Asaba who informed the state Commissioner of Police of the episode. .

He stated, "The CP and the DPO of the Igbozo Police Station went to the FMC and saved N100,000, yet I have spent considerably more than that. In the interim, the policeman who shot at us had gone to drop the weapon at the station and fled. .

Emeagwai asked the police specialists not to hide the situation where no one will think to look, saying the Policemen must be rebuffed. The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, said the policemen would be conveyed to book if discovered guilty after investigation.
