TODAY WE ARE BLAMING LIBYANS, WE TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT YESTERDAY - Squi Ukre

slavery in libya

Libya under Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was Europe for Black Africans. Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was loved by Black Africans because he always protect them and give them stay in Libya because he believed Libya was for everyone. This was why Libya was known as Jamahiriya ("state of the masses").

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi did lots of development in Libya. About 98% of Libyans  were so rich that they need not struggle to work. They were being paid monthly, used free electricity, own free houses as Gaddafi implemented social programs emphasizing house-building, healthcare, and education projects. Sometimes, free cars were being given to its citizens. Proceed from the sale of Libya's crude oil was being shared and paid into the accounts of every Libyan. Gaddafi used Libya's fund to support many African countries to prevent them from borrowing from the West, support education system in many Africa countries and also fund the blacks in South Africa to gain Independence. Gaddafi was more like Africa saviour.

Until the West led a revolution against Colonel Muammar Gaddafi via some ignorant element in Libya. United States former President Barrack Obama and former French president, Nicolas Sarkozy supplied lots of arms and ammunition to militants in Libya to topple Gaddafi's government.

While all these were happening, our African Leaders kept mute. Only Robert Mugabe who was then President of Zimbabwe and Jacob Zuma of South Africa stood to defend Gaddafi but were not strong enough. Nigeria's former president Goodluck Jonathan, who was the then head of Africa Union, kept quiet, because Colonel Muammar Gaddafi once advised Nigerians to divide Nigeria in two and allow the South to be on its own. They hated Colonel Muammar Gaddafi for it, so they turned a blind eyes to what the West was doing to Gaddafi's regime in Libya. Many Black Africans in Libya stood their grounds and fought for Gaddafi because he was their saviour in Libya. Many fought for free.

Years on after Gaddafi has been killed before our very eyes, Libyans have become so broke. There has not been a day of peace since Gaddafi was killed. There are no work for Libyans, no more free houses, electricity, water, gas, free money from oil sale etc. They are so broke that they took into kidnapping of Black Africans for ransom to survive. Those whose ransom were failed to be paid, are therefore sold into slavery for as little as $200.

What you ignore would come around to hurt you. Nigeria's former president Goodluck Jonathan ignored the happenings in Libya because of Gaddafi's comment on splitting Nigeria in two, not knowing that the situation would some day turn around and hurt him. The guns the west supplied to the rebels in Libya, were sold in the black market after Gaddafi was killed. Most of the guns flowed into Chad's black market and from there to the hands of Boko Haram. Boko Haram played a major role in the defeat of Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 election when they (Boko Haram) kidnapped the Chibok girls that lead to a world-wide protest.

Some leaders from the south south and South East then, defended Former President Goodluck Jonathan not to have intervene in Libya. But shortly after the defeat of Goodluck Jonathan, these were the same people protesting that Nigeria must be split in two. If only they were wise enough to have listened to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, Biafra would have been in Existence today.

Least we forget that the rebels Barrack Obama armed in Libya against Gaddafi, are now the same ISIS today killing Christians in Libya, Syria, Egypt and in the rest of the world. We sat and kept quiet when Obama was carrying out his evil agenda against Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, today we are all paying for it.

My condolence to all Black Africans who have lost their lives in Libya and in the hands of ISIS. Colonel Muammar Gaddafi would forever remain my best African President. May God forever bless his soul.
